So Sad - Britton

Saturday morning we sailed past some of the places that we had been and finally docked at the Moorings.  When we got there, I was sad.  We  ate lunch on the boat played on our iPods until it was time to turn the boat in.  We got our luggage off the boat and stored it in the lobby while we left for the one, the only...Tortola Dolphin Discovery!  That is one of my faovrite things.  So once we got there we looked around in the shops until they called our group.  We watched a video, got life jackets on and got into the water with the dolphins!  The first dolphin was named Einstein.  We got to feel him and learned a little bit about dolphins.  Then we did the dolphin kiss and danced with him.  We also had splash wars and made him sing!  It was amazing.  Half-way through the program, we switched dolphins.  Their names were Anibal and Neptuno and it was time for tricks.  First I did the dorsal pull.  That is when you are floating in a "T" formation in the water and the dolphins come from behind and you grab their dorsal fins and hold on.  That might sound hard, but it is the easier of the two tricks.  The second trick is the foot push, you lay on your stomach with your arms in front of you and feet pointing downward.  Then when you are ready, the dolphins come from behind and their noses push on the arches of your feet and you basically just stand on their noses.  Then when you are ready to stop you just dive or jump into the water.  Then all 3 dolphins did a couple of jumps at the end and we got out of the water to dry off.  We watched a video that they had made for us and we bought some pictures.  After we were finished, we got a taxi and picked up our luggage at the Moorings and went to the airport.  We took a short 40 minute plane ride ot San Juan and stayed at a beautiful hotel called the Caribe Hilton.  And boy was it a lot comfier to sleep!
